Your treatment will always start with a consultation that allows us to assess your medical history and inspect the tattoo that you would like removed. Once we're ready to proceed with the tattoo removal, we prepare your skin and ensure that you are comfortable. Treatments are performed in accordance with strict clinical guidelines to ensure that every laser tattoo removal meets our extremely high standards. We send you home with detailed post-care instructions to help your skin heal properly.
You're never stuck with a tattoo for life. Allow us to eliminate those that no longer speak to your authentic self.
To us, there is nothing more rewarding than giving our clients some of the best results in the industry, with their full assurance of safety, and our team continuously thriving on research and education.
Our goal is to raise our Industry standards by continuously learning, exclusively staffing certified laser technicians from recognized institutions, and only carrying leading Medical Grade, Doctor and Dermatologist recognized and recommended Gold Standard equipment.
There is nothing that My Body Vibes wont put in place to ensure the highest of safety precautions, and the most prominent of service. Something as important as the safety of our services is the maintenance of our lasers. A laser that has been neglected is unlikely to give optimal treatments, and less likely to be as safe.
Within our establishment we are always educating ourselves individually, and as a team. We hear our clients when they have concerns, we listen and we take it to heart. We are continuously researching and implementing the safest and most innovative strategies to provide the best of treatments, and to offer the highest levels of success when it comes to tattoo removal.
We understand that the yesteryear of permanence still rings in our client’s ears when they think of the ink in their skin, that’s why we are here to assure you of the safety of the fading and removal of it. This is not something that we believe (though it happens everyday) a technician can just ‘perform’. This is your skin, and we go to the farthest lengths and the best of training to be able to fade and remove your tattoo’s with the most optimal settings and technique to assure you that your satisfaction will be met to the best of our industry’s possibility.
How Do Tattoo Removal Lasers work
Pigment specific tattoo removal lasers fade or remove tattoo ink with the energy of light. The laser removes the ink by using a specific colour of light that passes through normal skin and is absorbed by the tattoo ink without damaging surrounding tissue. Rapid absorption of laser light energy causes the tattoo pigment to break into smaller granules so it can be removed by the body's natural filtering systems.
An important note about tattoo removal:
Laser tattoo removal is usually effective for the most part. However, there are some things to keep in mind. The laser tattoo removal treatment may create superficial burns. During the treatment the area undergoes a whitening process which usually lasts for 10-20 minutes. Some people experience bruising, swelling, or pin point bleeding. Many people develop scabs, crusts or blisters. These should heal in 1-2 weeks. The treated area may experience hypo-pigmentation (lack of normal skin colour) or hyper-pigmentation (an abundance of colour), these are usually temporary.
During your consultation, please ask questions. Enter into your treatments with realistic expectations. Generally some colours are removed easier than others. All tattoos are different and will require a different numbers of treatments.
Precautions To Take Before Your Treatment
No sun exposure, tanning beds and sunless tanning creams. Sun exposure decreases the effectiveness of the laser or pulsed light treatment and can increase the chance of post treatment complications.
Apply a SPF 30+ sunblock to the area to be treated when exposed to the sun.
Remove all makeup, creams or oils prior to treatment.
Discontinue use of aspirin, Motrin, Aleve or Ibuprofen products (Advil), a week to 10 days before treatment, as these may increase bruising or bleeding.
The cost of removing a tattoo will depend on the size of tattoo, the number of treatments required to remove it, as well as the laser used. We do offer single session pricing as well as packages which allow us to guarantee the lowest rates. We also offer a student discount and finance options on our packages. For a written quote, please set up a free, no obligation consultation. Note that our prices are guaranteed the lowest available for the advanced classes of technology used – if you receive a written quote elsewhere using the same technology, we will discount it by 5%.
Your skin type and tattoo (size, location, colour and detail) are assessed by our laser technician to determine the cost, length and expected results of your treatment.
For the best results avoid sun exposure. Some patients prefer to pre-treat the area with a topical anaesthetic to avod any discomfort.
The affected area is treated with an ointmentand bandaged for protection. For maximum results avoid sun exposure and keep the area clean and dry. Wait 6-8 weeks treatments.
