Lifestyle prep: Minimise alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours pre-visit. Arrive well-hydrated, with a clean face and no active skin infection. 2) On the day — assessment first Clinician-led consultation: We review your goals (e.g., lip shape & definition, cheek contour, jawline & chin balance, under-eye hollow), take medical photos, and map facial anatomy. Suitability & authorisation: If a prescription-only procedure is appropriate, it proceeds only after prescriber authorisation and informed consent. Comfort measures: Topical numbing and other methods as appropriate. Technique: Your clinician may use fine needles or a blunt-tip cannula, sometimes with ultrasound guidance, to place small amounts precisely within specific tissue layers. 4) During the procedure (typical chair time: ~15–45 minutes) You may feel light pressure or a momentary sting. Placement methods can include micro-deposits, linear threading, and gentle fanning to blend with surrounding tissues. We pause regularly to reassess symmetry and proportion. 5) Immediately after What you’ll see/feel: Initial contour is usually visible right away, with normal swelling or tenderness that settles over days. Mild bruising is possible. Moulding: Your clinician may perform gentle shaping at the end. Back to routine: Many people resume light daily activities the same day; your clinician will tailor advice to you. 6) First 24–48 hours Use a clean, cool compress intermittently for comfort. Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, hot yoga, alcohol and facial massage for 24 hours (or as advised). Sleep head-elevated the first night if puffy; avoid pressure on treated areas. Delay makeup over injection sites for 12–24 hours or until the skin is intact. 7) Days 3–7 Swelling and unevenness typically reduce; small palpable bumps can be part of normal settling. Do not massage unless your clinician instructs you to. If you bruise, consider concealer once the skin is intact. 8) Review & maintenance A review visit in 2–4 weeks is common to assess symmetry and discuss conservative touch-ups if clinically appropriate. Longevity varies by area, individual metabolism and the plan used. Periodic reviews help maintain consistent contours over time. 9) Red-flags — contact us urgently Severe or increasing pain, whitening/mottled skin, dusky colour, unusual numbness, or any vision change(blurred vision, shadow, loss of vision), or new severe headache.
